ECC Tours

Touring an emergency communications center (ECC) is a great way to view first-hand how other communication centers operate on a day-to-day basis. Sign-up is on a first-come first-serve basis and will be available on the day of the tour at the Information Booth in the Orange County Convention Center. Space for each tour is limited to the first 50 registrants.

All tours depart from/return to the Orange County Convention Center, West Building, West A/B Lobby, Level 1.

Information to know before signing up:

  • You may only sign up yourself and not others for the tour.
  • A photo ID is required to sign up.

Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Comm. Center is the county’s primary PSAP, providing dispatch and 911 services for unincorporated Seminole County and all 7 of its city municipalities within Seminole County. (Sanford, Lake Mary, Winter Springs, Casselberry, Longwood, and Oviedo)

The City of Orlando’s Operations Center houses the Orlando Police and Orlando Fire Communications Center, the Emergency Operations Center, and the Traffic Management Department.

⇵ Orange County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center TourWednesday, August 7

Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) Communications Center is a primary PSAP providing 911 and law enforcement dispatch services for unincorporated Orange County and the municipalities of Belle Isle and Edgewood. OCSO has an authorized staff of 203. In 2023 OCSO answered 802,526 emergency 911 calls and a similar number of administrative/non-emergency calls for a total of over 1.3M calls. The Center is co-located with Orange County Fire Rescue Communications Center. It was recently renovated and equipped with Xybix sit-stand consoles. Primary systems include a Positron Viper 911 system, and a Motorola 800MHZ radio system. We recently implemented a CentralSquare CAD.
